Why use a psychologist as your coach?

I am a little obsessed about human behaviour at work. As a coaching psychologist my practice blends the science of psychology with business principles with the goal to enhance performance, build our leaders and enhance wellbeing in the workplace.

So why use a psychologist as your coach in the workplace? Here are a few reasons that come to mind:

  1. Evidence based approach: You must prove it to use it! The practices of a psychologist are grounded in scientifically validated research and insights to deliver real results.

  2. Depth of understanding of human behaviour: Humans are complex and there is no one size fits all approach. Psychologists have the skill and know-how to draw from the diversity of practices and schools of thought to increase the impact of coaching for their client tailored to their unique needs.

  3. Diagnostic experience: Understanding the underlying beliefs, motivations and behavioural patterns are key to developing our way forward. Uncovering the underlying “why” will be the foundation for the “what’s next”.

  4. Training, ethics and regulated practice: As trained mental health professional registered by the health practitioner board, we take our profession seriously. To ensure that we provide the most current, ethical and impactful practices we are bound to uphold our registration with ongoing training, professional conduct and legislative guidelines. This protects our clients and provides confidence in our capability.

With a psychologist in your career corner, you have the scientific proof and practical know-how to expand potential, lift performance and be your best self at work.
